Tunisian Lace Top Pattern
This week I am excited to share my first multi-sized adult piece of clothing, the Tunisian Lace Top. As the name suggests this is a lacey Tunisian pattern which is perfect for summer as a swim suit cover up, or as an extra layer over a vest. It could even work in Spring or Autumn as an additional layer.
The top itself is quite simple in construction, it consists of two panels which are sewn together to create the top. The lace pattern is a repeating 3 row pattern which makes the top quite easy to get into a rhythm as you work it up. Additionally this only uses 4 stitches in the entire top, which makes it very beginner friendly. If you are not an experienced Tunisian crocheter, or even if you have never tried, then this pattern should be achievable for you.
It comes in 5 sizes, XS, S, M, L and XL and should use between 340m and 980m. It is designed to be quite a loose fit top, but if you want it to be more fitted then you should be able to work the top in a size smaller than you would usually pick.
I chose to make this in Coboo yarn and the bamboo and cotton mix really creates a lovely drape and light feeling for this top. I also used an acrylic and cotton mix for another one, but the feel wasn’t quite as lovely as the coboo. I think either the coboo or a 100% cotton should work well for this top. The acrylic mix will probably make a better option for colder days in Spring and Autumn.
The pattern is available to purchase in my Etsy store. To celebrate its release, it will be available for 25% off using the code SUMMER, until the end of August only. After this time is will only be available at full price.
I hope you enjoy this top, I love the addition of it in my wardrobe. If you chose to make one, please do share it in with me on my social media channels. Next week I am finally getting around to releasing the pattern for the Space Blanket I made Oliver.
See you then,
