Dinosaur Playmat 

The playmat is a 24” landscape square, designed to represent, sea, sand, much, grass and snow topped mountains in the sky.   It is made using wave stitch as shown below.

 Gauge

The playmat does not have any specific gauge, depending on how your tension is they may come out slightly smaller or larger than mine, but this does not really matter.

Border – start in white

Row Instruction Stitches
1 ( 4 sc, 4 hdc) x 13 then ch 2 and sc in last hdc to create corner

Down the side, sc in each sc stitch and 2 sc in each dc stitch, sc, ch 2 sc to create second corner

(4 hdc, 4 sc) x 13 along bottom row and ch2 and sc in last sc to create third corner

Then down the final side, sc in each sc stitch and 2 sc in each dc stitch, then ch 2 and sl st in starting sc to create final corner

Cast off

2 In navy blue, attach yarn into any corner and (sc, ch 2 sc to create a corner.   Then sc across the row) x 3 and sl st in starting sc and sew in ends
